JE L’AIME is an intimate theatrical evening inside a real South London home, shared with just 20 guests.
You’re invited to Liv and Vic’s housewarming.
Come in, have a drink, eat something and meet the other guests. As the evening unfolds, you’ll enter the private world of a couple building a home and a life together across different languages and cultures.
Can we ever understand the person we love completely? And do we need to?
JE L’AIME is an experience about everything that can and cannot be translated between two people.
Your ticket includes the performance, drinks, light snacks and time to stay and talk afterwards.

WHAT KIND OF PERFORMANCE IS IT?
JE L’AIME takes the form of a housewarming inside a real apartment. You will enter as a guest rather than sit in a traditional theatre auditorium, and the performance will unfold around you.
DO I NEED TO SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE?
No. JE L’AIME is performed in English and several other languages, but you do not need to understand them. The story is communicated through action, emotion and the space between words.
WILL I BE ASKED TO PARTICIPATE?
You may be invited to pour a drink, help with the nibbles, join the karaoke or offer an actor some light, but EVERYTHING is optional. You will never be asked to act or perform.
WHERE DOES THE PERFORMANCE TAKE PLACE?
Inside a real apartment in South London, around 25 minutes by train from Victoria Station.
The exact address and arrival instructions will be emailed to you 48 hours before the performance.
HOW LONG IS THE EXPERIENCE?
The performance lasts approximately 70 minutes. Afterwards, you are invited to stay for drinks, snacks and conversation with the other guests.
Please allow around 2 hours for the full evening.
ARE DRINKS AND SNACKS INCLUDED?
Yes. Your ticket includes drinks and light snacks. These are nibbles rather than a full meal.
After booking, we will ask you about any allergies or dietary requirements.
CAN I COME ALONE?
Absolutely. Many guests come alone, and the housewarming setting makes it easy to meet other curious people.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR A DATE?
Yes, particularly if you enjoy unusual experiences that leave you with something unexpected to talk about afterwards.
IS THE APARTMENT ACCESSIBLE?
The performance takes place in a private home. This venue is not wheelchair accessible. If you have any access requirements, please contact joy@bluefondue.co.uk before booking, stating your requirements and preferred performance date.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE LATE?
Please arrive at the time shown on your ticket. Because the performance begins as guests enter and takes place throughout a private home, we cannot admit anyone more than 15 minutes after the doors open.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Whatever you would wear to a friend’s housewarming. There is no formal dress code.
